Ha!

I watched about 6 minutes of college basketball this year, so I feel justified in smugly pointing out that the Big East went an absurd 2-9 in the first round, a new low for a super-conference gaining a rep as being overrated come tournament time. Brothatime!! passed along this quote from (who else?) Sir Charles:
Not living up to the hype: The Big East. The conference that placed a record 11 teams in the tournament only moved two into the second week and both of those teams moved on by winning second-round games against conference rivals.

“The Big East is overrated and after Notre Dame loses tonight, it’s just going to be another feather in my cap,” said opinionated analyst Charles Barkley, a few minutes before the second-seeded Irish took the court against No. 10 Florida State.
Not only does the ACC have more teams left in the dance (albeit one is FSU, whom I do not recognize as being a real ACC team, along with Miami/BC/VT, fuck them), but now there are as many schools in Richmond, VA still in as there are Big East teams. Ha!
