Zing! Fuck the Mets!!

Today is Aaron Boone's birthday.  Of course Boone will be remembered forever for his ALCS-winning home run off Tim Wakefield in 2003.  But to me, his greatest contribution to baseball will always be providing the zinger of 2009:
 Chip Caray: "Can you believe Aaron Boone is returning from open-heart surgery before Jose Reyes is from a hamstring injury?"
As I said back then: ha!

His was also the most important basketball injury in baseball history: without it, no A-Rod in pinstripes the following year.
