Important Question

Much has been made of the cute quaintness of the Walton family saying good night at the end of every show, but if everybody could be heard throughout the house without even raising their voices, how the hell was Pa ever able to get up in Ma's guts without thew whole goddam house knowing?  Did he tape her mouth shut?  Drag her into the woods?  Every morning after they fucked, what was the eye contact like around the breakfast table?  Did the children just accept the fact early on that their mother loved getting fucked with a ball gag in her mouth, and never thought twice about it?

i reckon John and Livvy learned the "no squawkin or hollerin" rule from Zeb and Esther who were often seen retreating to their quarters, and would be featured from time to time carrying on in the bedroom off the family dining area.

It's also likely they'd soundproof their shenanigans in layers of Grandma's hand sewn quilts and blame any slippage on the elderly couple laying in the bed just below them.
