Founding Nerds

Brothatime!! is an avid beer nerd, and while I am not, I enjoy observing them as if I'm watching gazelles on the Discovery Channel, so I noticed this post about the ultimate beer nerds: The Founding Fathers!  Along with Jefferson's and Washington's recipes, here's an interesting tidbit:

James Madison proposed founding a national brewery and creating a Secretary of Beer, but Congress did not support his grand plans.

If there's one job I'm truly qualified for, it's surely Secretary of Beer.
