Why are We So Bad at Discrediting Liars?

DONALD TRUMP: Well, I have people that actually have been studying it and they cannot believe what they’re talking.
MEREDITH VIEIRA: You have people now out there searching– I mean, in Hawaii?
DONALD TRUMP: Absolutely. And they cannot believe what they’re finding. And I’m serious–
Has anybody bothered to ask Trump what these "unbelievable" findings have been?  He said he paid $2M; SURELY he wasn't lying about this, right?

And if he was, can that please mean the fucking media has to stop rolling the cameras and assaulting us every time he opens his mouth?

Political pundits, NFL prognosticators and celebrities; once you've been on tv, no matter how many times you are wrong or just flat-out lie, it is impossible for us to not believe you.  Incredible.  We can't quit you!
