Bobby Fischer: Against the World

I was right to wonder why there hasn't been a doc on Bobby Fischer before now; Of COURSE the Bobby Fischer doc tonight was fucking awesome.  Like Mickey Mantle, all the ingredients were just too great to NOT make for a great movie.  The child prodigy with the troubled childhood cum erratically eccentric international superstar declared the greatest ever in front of the entire world that was watching his match against Spassky with baited breath plus US vs. USSR, and throw in his lanky Prince William meets Bobby Kennedy odd good looks, and it's hard to fuck it up.  Only someone with the potential for lunacy like Fischer could make Americans interested in watching a chess match, we like it when our heroes have an entertaining side of crazy to go along with their genius, and we're talking about a complete fucking lunatic who devolved further and further into paranoia.  I mean, name another American hero who sided with Bin Laden?
