Johnny Damon has more hits than Ted Williams, and Sammy Sosa got all juiced up for nothing, since he hit 60 home runs three times, and yet didn't lead the majors in either of those eyars. And Granderson's 27 triples a few years ago was a lot more historic than anyone woulda guessed.
I'm still amazed that twice Ted Williams won the Triple Crown, but not the MVP; both years he won the MVP, he didn't win the Triple Crown. Wtf?
Oh yeah, and the Donora, PA thing.
