GOP Debate

Mitt Romney just said "no person serving in the public interest should ever make more money than those he is serving!" and got a round of applause....I guess my question is, why not?   The NBA serves to entertain those that pay their salaries via tickets and jerseys and tv ads etc; should Kobe Bryant be making less than the people going to his games?
