It Was 50 Years Ago Today...

...that Brian Epstein discovered The Beatles:

FAB Four fans were today coming together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Brian Epstein discovering The Beatles.

The Cavern Club was today hosting a tribute to the gifted entrepreneur who helped Beatlemania sweep the globe.

The event was due to feature live music and the unveiling of a new Cavern backdrop featuring Epstein and some of the Merseybeat acts taken under his wing.

It needed a last-minute repaint after his name was initially spelled “Epstien”.

Of course as we all know, Epstein became aware of The Beatles thanks to Raymond Jones, who is one of Xmastime's most cherished of peeps: A FOOTNOTE!

Seriously, how has Raymond Jones not made a zillion dollars off this?
