One of the more popular memes I've repeated ad nauseum on this bloggity-blog is the GOP's insistence on the idea that government is by nature doomed to fail and then insisting on sending people that are fucking stupid to Washington to complete the self-fulfilling prophecy...If you set something up to fail, it will fail.
