Culture Wars

I thought we were in the midst of an honest-to-goodness "the only thing that matters is the economy!" election cycle - remember the Tea Party  pretending to be  pulling it's hair out over things like deficit and the debt and GDP?  Suddenly, all we've heard all week is contraception, abortion, contraception, abortion, rinse lather repeat.  Including this lunatic who is even too crazy for Republicans.  Give credit to  stupid people  Republicans: even in the greatest economic downturn of our lifetime, they've managed to make the issue less about facts and governance and more about the Barbie dolls they've lined up to play with.  Nice.
