My spidey senses are tingling that the hype attached to HBO's upcoming Girls as some sort of culture-shifting show pretty much guarantees it will come and go without anybody giving a shit, but there are two things of note which I will now note:

1) right away David Mamet's kid caught my eye and after about 10 seconds I remembered why - she was the Warhol Factory lezbo chick from Mad Men. Big teef + big schnozz = obviously I'm in love with her.

2) Just when you thought Zosia Mamet would be the most ridiculous-sounding name in the cast of a tv show, along comes this show which features a pretty little white girl named, say it with me, Jemima. So.
