Jean Shepherd

Like most people my age, when I hear the name Jean Shepherd I think A Christmas Story and ONLY A Christmas Story, but I guess there was a lot more to him:

Jerry Seinfeld said on a Seinfeld commentary track that he “learned how to be funny from Jean Shepherd.” (And his son is, perhaps not incidentally, named Shepherd.)  

Obviously, Jeff Bridges would play him in any bio flick.
