When I was in kindergarten, there was a record that my teacher Mrs. Newby would put on all the time. I never really knew the name of the song, but for almost four decades the tune "brothers and sisters, sisters and bothers, ain't we…something something…" has stuck in my head. I figured I'd go to my grave not knowing what the hell the song was but, as usual, thanks to the internet I found out what it is. For some reason I stumbled upon this article about an album broadcasting feminism released in 1972, Free to Be You and Me, and something about the way it looked triggered me to investigate it and VOILA!….I found the song. (Skip to 2:28 for the actual song)
