Boston Celtics forward Brandon Bass recently took on the challenge of learning how to swim, leading to an awesome photo (via Reddit) of him in the pool with children during a swim class.

According to Bella English of the Boston Globe, Bass is doing it for a good cause. On Friday he and 10 children from the Boys & Girls Club of Boston took a class together.

As English wrote, "Though he is volunteering his time to help children conquer their fear of swimming, Bass has fears of his own. 'I’m nervous, because I don’t know how to float,' he says. 'I can’t tread water.'"
