In a Waltons episode I just watched, Mary Ellen was bitching about school tlking about the same shit all them time, "1492, 1776, 1861, that's all they talk about!" To which Pa Walton asks "what happened in 1861?"

Um...what? Hell-O: Lebanon was separated from Syrian administration and reunited under an Ottoman governor with the approval of the European powers, DUUUUH!!!  Jesus you stupid hick, crack open a fucking book every once in a while!
