After the bottom of the seventh innning of Thursday night’s game against the Astros at Minute Maid Park, Jeter went over to the stands to hand a young girl wearing a Jeter shirt a souvenir ball.
Jeter pointed her out as he was walking over, but one fan chose to ignore the Yankee Captain and tried to take the ball for herself.

Jeter, making sure the young girl would get the ball, had to pull his hand back from the desperate Astros fan three different times before he was able to deliver the souvenir for the kid.
