The BBC television series Blackadder is returning to television screens, according to series creator and star Rowan Atkinson.As you already may know, Blackadder Goes Forth had what's maybe the greatest finale scene of all time.
The Sun reports Atkinson has spoken about how excited he is to create a new version of the iconic comedy series. Initially reported to be a one-off special, a new series is reportedly in the works. Atkinson has also revealed that original series stars Tony Robinson, Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie will all return for the show's new incarnation.
The new series will reportedly be set in the modern day, where the newest version of Blackadder is a university lecturer. Potential guest stars that have been spoken of include Russell Brand and Tom Hardy.
