Calling BS!

Today's the 35th anniversary of the Villanova upset over Georgetown, Mad Dog claims it's the greatest upset in tournament history.

WHICH IS BULLSHIT.  The correct answer is NC State beating Houston. For 2 reasons:

1) Villanova had already played Georgetown twice, losing just by a total of 9 points. So its not like they were terrified of Georgetown. Also, while they had a so-so record they were in the Big East, which was at its absolute peak. They weren't exactly Chaminade playing Ralph.

2) The 1983 Houston team was (arguably) better than the 1985 Georgetown team. Yeah G-town beat them in '84, but that was after Clyde left. The Houston team isn't just the greatest college basketball team to never win a title, it's got to be the best ever team of any sport to not win one. Hardly anybody was in Houston's league, much less NC State.

Sorry not sorry, Doggie!
