SPEAKing of The Office: most fans disparage the pilot - and most of the first season - and claim the heights of future seasons were by far better. And you'd think that those episodes would've picked up much greater audience numbers through the years. Yes, streaming started to take a hold, but it didn't reign tv like it does now, so it was still a "water cooler" show, week by week. But a look at the numbers, and by the numbers of course I mean Wikipedia, reveal something interesting:
Episode with the most US viewers?
Stress Relief, which was aired right after the Super Bowl, with 22 million viewers.
The episode with the second-most number of viewers?
The Pilot. With 11 million viewers.
Only 3 other episodes hit 10 million.
I, for one, would never have guessed this.
