RIP Sydney Lotterby

Being a superfan of British sitcoms over the years, the name Sydney Lotterby has loomed large as a producer and director, and today he died at age 93.

I don't know what a producer is but I KNID OF have an idea of what a director does, so here's a list of my superslices he directed over the years:
Porridge (every episode)
Going Straight (every episode)
Yes, Minister (6 episodes)
Open All Night (every episode)
Yes, Prime Minister (16 episodes)
His name also inspired a sketch from the Monty Python precursor, At Last the 1948 Show, featuring Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Marty Feldman and Tim Brooke-Taylor.

Hard to imagine a bigger lion from the "Golden Age" of British sitcoms.
