Between the 80th anniversary of his death in October and the 40th anniversary of his death in December, there's (rightfully) sure to be a ton of John Lennon content floating around these days.
Highly recommended (by me!) is PBS' episode of American Masters documenting his years in New York city, the city he absolutely loved, from his early 70s years of activism to the three years Nixon spent trying to deport him to the five years he spent disengaging from the music industry to raise his son to his triumphant return which was tragically cut short by five bullets.
I remember when the episode premiered 10 years ago, and it's just as relevant - if not more - today.
