Will He or Won't He?

Scrolling through LinkedIn I just came across (heh heh heh) this, and while Brian Bald sounds like a great guy - surely a better man than me - the wording in the lady's post strikes me as funny:

"...Brian Bald of Capital One has accepted his Man of the Year nomination..."

"has accepted"? Really? Was...was this a difficult thing for young Brian, finally accepting this great honor? Has he been deliberating for a few days now, and everybody's greatly relieved he's broken down and accepted how awesome he is?
