One of the more well-known "AMAZING FUN FACTS!" about Only Fools and Horses is that Elizabeth Hurley lost out on the role of Cassandra, Rodney's girlfriend/wife, to Gwyneth Strong. Based on this being what Liz Hurley looked like at the time, this was the right casting decision - hell, it was barely believable that Rodney could pull Strong; landing Hurley would've been an "okay, this has jumped the shark" sitch.
