I've been enjoying the Wonder Years reboot. It's not innovative, or "prestige tv", but it's very warm & friendly and can be downright laugh out loud funny at times. This week's episode has the greatest line of any show of the year: young Dean's school bully, Michael - the archetypal "he's 22 years old and in 9th grade, shaved during Little League and is an absolute monster" - finds some guidance in Dean's mom, who takes it upon herself to help this wayward youth, starting with a project for the science fair. From the next room Dean is jealous when he hears Michael make his mother laugh, to which he utters, "well, maybe if I got to drink beer and listen to Richard Pryor I'd be funny too". Legit LOL!!! 🤣
