WTF, Movie People?

Several years ago I rather brilliantly asked, "Is Drugstore Cowboy the worst-written book to be turned into an amazing movie?"

Now I gotta be wondering the same about The Magic Christian...I'm not done reading this slight nothing of a "book", but I find myself wondering how the hell this thing became a big-time movie? Not just a movie, but one starring Peter Sellers!!!! 

I haven't seen the movie, so maybe like Drugstore Cowboy it's incredible in spite of the crappy book it's based on, so...we'll see, people, we'll see. (NOTE: the movie DOES star all-time Mrs. Xmastime Raquel Welch...🤔)
