US/UK What the Hey

As Americans we sometimes we assume the British are just naturally smarter/more cultured than we are, probably because of their accents. So when this popped up just now I was like wow, in 1965 on Christmas Day they just sat around listening to the Queen, and then watched the classic Moby Dick movie with Gregory Peck. We were probably just picking lint out of our belly buttons while waiting for the goddam Dukes of Hazzard to be created, I started grousing. 

Then I realized they'd also be watching The Beverly Hillbillies and all was right with the world again.
