Nowhere Boy is as goofy as any bio-pic that tries to cram in so much in a few minutes, but these scene does a nice job of incorporating a lot of early John & Paul stuff: John feeling comfortable around Paul to wear his glasses, Paul teaching John guitar chords even though he’s two years younger, the instant connection they felt via their dead mothers, and Paul’s incredible easy facility with music itself as opposed to John’s instant iconography.
