Mad Men Thoughts. I Have Them.

Like a lot of folks today I re-watched the first Mad Men episode and it strikes me that the first time we see the building at all it's from a downward vantage point. Usually when introducing BIG! BUILDING! BIG! CITY!!!! cameras like to start at the bottom and look up, but Matthew Weiner did the opposite here.

I assume there's a reason - the downfall of America? Or a play off the whole "the intro avatar is Don Draper before he jumps out the window" nonsense? 🤔🤷‍♂️
