They're retiring Paul O'Neill's #21 today at Yankee Stadium. What can I possibly say about him, one of my favorite Yankees from my most cherished of teams, the late-90s dynasty. The Warrior.
Fans at The Stadium saying goodbye to him will always be one of the all-time "who's cutting onions in here?" moments in sports for me.
He had the greatest baseball kick of all time. He had a day at the plate that could only be compared to me and Sistatime! fishing.
I've loved listening to him talking about eating in the YES booth for so may years now.
Hell, he was even on Seinfeld! Enjoy it Paulie Baseball, you've earned it! 🤗🤗🤗
Paul O'Neill didn't pick 2️⃣1️⃣ when he started his MLB career, but he knew how special it was since it was worn by the great Roberto Clemente.
