American Dream BS, Cont.

The latest salvo in my War Against the Bullshit of the American Dream, a war I am in no way qualified to fight in and really have no idea how I keep getting pulled into but okay, comes from a book I just read that isn't good but this passage jumped out:

It's always the same shit with money: non-rich people think that if rich people "like" them then they'll be one of them. This starts with voting - "oh if I vote for a rich guy then he'll really like me and before you know it it'll be ME on that third yacht!" We fall for it every time. Pathetic and sad.
