One of the more shocking/exhilarating/depressing things Peter Jackson's brilliant Get Back has taught is is that Paul McCartney spent over 50 years believing everyone hated him for breaking up The Beatles until he watched Peter Jackson's brilliant Get Back, which is crazy. For many reasons, not the least of which would be that this whole time there was video evidence that it wasn't true (and the same can be said for Yoko Ono being a punchline for 50 years and then vindicated by the film). Imagine having that weigh on you for half a century and then it's revealed as not even being true?
