Mmmmmm, Mmmmmm Mmmmmmm, Mmmmm Mmmmm Mmmmm...

I Melt With You is a funny song, isn’t it? Here’s a song that sold nothing when it came out on a British independent label 25 years ago, was never on regular radio, was only a small college radio hit…yet do you know anybody who knows anybody who knows anybody who doesn’t know this song? They probably originally printed only a few thousand copies, now you prolly hafta go to Mars to find someone who couldn’t sing this song on cue.  - XMASTIME in 2007

Like anybody else I've forgotten 95% of whatever happened during Covid, good or bad, but one of my favorite things I'll always take away from the times was the brilliant, happy-inducing performance by Modern English of their uber-classic I Melt With You via Zoom, so like anybody else I'm thrilled to see them (finally!) play their oddly-popular-but-not-popular hit on late night television. I am also quite surprised Jimmy Fallon didn't walk on to the the humming parts at the end, but oh well.
