As we await the formal announcement of the paperback version of this classic novel to be released in the next few days, I was re-watching Ken Burns' GREAT documentary on country music and was reminded that George Jones' nickname was "Possum", which you kinda assume meant he was cantankerous or some such until you realize oh yeah he looked just like a fucking possum!!!
