On the Death of Christine McVie
Nobody cares less about Fleetwood Mac than me – any sense of early 70s California easy-going listenin’ has always made my rock nuts curl up inside my stomach. But because of when I happened to be born, I came into full consciousness when it was against the law to be in a car for more than 5 minutes without hearing at least – AT LEAST! – one Fleetwood Mac song, which was the soundtrack to the Skyline Drive trips when I was a young buck, interrupted only by The Pretenders’ Brass in Pocket.
But the one beef I do have with the band is that Rumors had something like 155 hit singles on it, yet the only song of theirs I’ve ever personally liked was the one song they DIDN’T release as a single 😡😡😡😡
