Most interviews with musicians always end up being some namby-pamby thing about "feelings" on songs, or "album motifs" bullshit etc etc, but this Springsteen chat is fantastic* via its interest in the real nuts & bolts of Springsteen's actual songwriting. Also, he has some rather brilliant thoughts on the cycle of death within our lifespans. Maybe thats the Malcolm Gladwell/Rick effect?
* tho listening to him try to pronounce "noir" over & over is tough.
