One of the more remarkable things that has happened over the last 40 years is not only how unions have been decimated, but it's become de riguer to have convinced WORKERS THEMSELVES that not only is it unthinkable for workers to GET anything they want, but equally rage-inducing for them to even ASK for anything they want.
