World War II Questions. I Have Them.

Why did Hitler kill himself at the end of the war? He'd already committed more death and atrocities than anyone ever in human history, so why not stick around and see what happens? What, a trip to a courtroom to get dressed down by a judge? Ooooooooooh, scary!!! If America was smart they wouldn't have killed you, they'd have kept you alive to explain everything you'd done & why, so why not kick back & be bemused for the next few decades, maybe try that painting thing again? 🤔🤷‍♂️
