Ahhh, The Skippah!

Through the miracle of the Internet I found this on the Williamsburg Softball website, from Reel to Reel's 2011 season (my last full one as The Skippah):

This brings us to the Game of the Week! R2R started right out, jumping to a 4-1 lead over Spike Hill in the 1st. About 15 close plays at the plate later, two of which were put outs by Spike Hill Rookie Lynee who had an amazing day on defense, we reach the 8th where Spike Hill pulled to within one. “That was when our peerless leader, Greg, received a very important phone call. Upon answering it, he gathered the Reelers around him and said, ‘Team, Greatness is on the phone. Who would like to accept the charges?’” After consulting our data plans, we all said: “I would!” Reel 2 Reel would not give up another run! Player of the game: Mark Halling who went 4 for 4 and making an incredible, rally-killing snag on a liner back to the mound! Reel 2 Reel inches closer to 1st place in the North!

Ahhhh, now that does put a little pep in the step of ye olde Skippah! 🤗😜
