Mickey Mantle is my favorite ballplayer of all time and I loved Carlton Fisk as a kid, but George Brett might be my second-favorite (look all this shit up for yourselves I'm tired of holding your peoples hands 24 hours a goddam day):
1. all-time great interviewee cuz he's funny af
2. gave us the single greatest clip in MLB history (Pine Tar Game)
3. got picked off first base immediately following his 3,000th hit
4. had one of the all-time great Hall of Fame speeches
