It is airplane movie scene law that if a man is very stubbornly trying to stuff luggage in the upper compartment a flight attendant will offer him space in the back to put his luggage but he will refuse and flounder around with it instead of doing what normal humans in real life would do i.e. happily plop it into the flight attendant's hands and get on with their goddam lives already.
