Oh Good ANOTHER Reason to Thank The Goddam Beatles for Something

I'm not smart enough to know if this is even possibly true, but there was a PBS doc back in 2009 HOW THE BEATLES ROCKED THE KREMLIN which actually did make the case that The Beatles were more responsible for ending communism than Gorbachev, during which I noted showing the insane lengths it showed people in the Soviet Union went to hear The Beatles: 

the bit about bootlegs being made by recording Beatles songs off Radio Luxemburg and then cutting the record onto a used x-ray, rolling it up a coat sleeve and selling it is pretty amazing. I mean these days if it take more than zero seconds to have every single song by every single artist I want then I flip my goddam laptop over in a frenzy of anger.
