Save a Few for Lefty Too
One of my favorite parts out of the entire INCREDIBLE Ken Burns Country Music documentary is the story of Pancho and Lefty; I've pieced together the 2 sections using my incredible video editing skills - you're welcome - to see the remarkable flow of the song from its eccentric genius writer to a future legend's album to a couple of GOAT contenders with an almost unbelievable amount of country music DNA sprinkled throughout. The Forrest Gump of country classics, if you must. And if you don't cry when Emmylou Harris delivers then you're officially the worst. Enjoy the story of how one of the best songs of the last century came to be.
