Two Important People in My Life Connected by Being Born on October 9

My mother was 20 years old when The Beatles landed in America and she couldn't really have cared less; she'd been a big Elvis fan and those were the days when you'd stop listening to new music after your teens since rock & roll was for kids and any reasonable person was meant to get on with their adult lives as soon as possible already. The only time I ever remember talking with her about the band was asking what she'd thought when they came over from England and all she did was shake her head and say she & her friends just couldn't get over how "crazy!" their long hair was 🤣
