I've loved this song since I discovered it on some 1977 punk singles compilation cd in San Antonio back in 1992. It was never a hit but I feel like more people have heard it than you'd guess for some 23 year-old nobody on Stiff Records. Me, Flint & Rrthur (YES ladies, THAT Rrthur) played this at Op's reception - I'm sure we were amazing - and there's something extra special about seeing him play it just a few days ago with Jools Holland, who is utterly beaming throughout the whole thing like I've never seen him beam.
SIDE NOTE: if you like Wreckless Eric go listen to his early 90s album, The Donovan of Trash. It's a fucking banger and every song is great 🤗🎸🕺
