Human Lesson du Jour

I don't know why I fell into reading this excerpt from TV critic legend Alan Sepinwall's upcoming book on The OC, but this comment from one of the actors talking about Mischa Barton being a bit alienated from everyone else really hit home:

But I remember just looking over with a very immature feeling of, I guess she’s too cool for us now to sit around and laugh, versus a more mature feeling of, Maybe she feels left out.

This is pretty much how I thought forever as a young(er) human on Earth in the same situation, which is funny since not once in my life have I ever thought "well I'm too super-cool for these people so I'll just sit off by myself", but I've felt left out countless times, so why wouldn't I assume most people are the same way and act accordingly? 🤔🤷‍♂️

This is maybe a lesson we should get in front of people when they're younger as opposed to an old wrinkled up husk sent out to pasture like the ol' Schooner Xmastime.
