Ken Mattingly - or as some of you brain-dead rubes call him, "Gary Sinise" - has died, leaving Jim Lovell as the sole surviving member of Apollo 13.
On a side note, only 4 of the 12 astronauts who have walked on the Moon are still alive, and the youngest is Charlie Duke at 91. As I've been screaming on these hallowed pages of Xmastime since at least 2010, not getting these guys in a room together asap would be a missed opportunity. It'll only be a few short years until we'll unfortunately be able to say that the first people who saw the other side of the moon, who stepped on the moon, and who saw the Earth from another celestial body are no longer among us. Seems foolish not to take advantage of the fact that they all are still alive.
