Ain't No One Going to Turn Me 'Round

I'm not gonna explain to you people why I found myself watching the pilot episode of Gilmore Girls yesterday, but something interesting did come up. While I knew from previous viewings against my will that the name of the school the kid attends is named Chilton, when the mother calls the school for the very fist time to talk about paying for tuition she asks to speak to a Mrs. Bell...as in Chris Bell? As in Chris Bell and Alex Chilton? As in, was the writer of this show a huge Big Star fan?!?!?!?
