Sex and the City - a show not to be taken seriously; it’s not really good but not really terrible. But if you lived in New York at the time, like I did, watching it every Sunday night was a communal thing (back in the days when there were such things, of course.) - XMASTIME
I'll always feel a connection to Sex and the City, both because it coincided perfectly with my living in the city and it's directly responsive for my meeting one of the great all-time loves of my life. So color me absolutely gobsmacked shocked to learn that after 25+ years of the show & its subsequent movies absolutely printing billions of dollars, original author Candace Bushnell hasn't made a penny more off the show since HBO bought the rights for just $100,000.
For all the time about women having sex like men, in the end I guess it was Bushnell who was truly fucked well & good.
