RIP Adele Springsteen

Bruce Springsteen's mother Adele died today - well, yesterday I guess. 98 years old. Me & Op met her when we met Bruce (I call him Bruce), she actually asked if we'd enjoyed the show.

I'm bummed I can't get video access to Bruce talking about his mother during his Broadway show, but the audio is still great enough. It was stunning at the time because we'd had his whole father thing pounded into our psyches for so long but we'd pretty much let slip by the one song he wrote about his mother; hearing him talk about her LOVE OF LIFE here is purely contagious.
